Quentin Tarantino's extended version of the director’s “The Hateful Eight” became an exclusive for Netflix subscribers with one massive surprise: The movie was streamed as a miniseries with four episodes each running approximately 50 minutes. Tarantino’s theatrical cut ran 168 minutes, while the four episodes of the extended cut make up 210 minutes.
For this release those credits have been removed and the 4 episodes flow as a single film. It's a cross between the Roadshow version and theatrical with added footage, alternate camera angles and dialogue. It is unique unto itself and although some might think too long to sit through, they'd be surprised at how entertaining it is without even looking at your watch. It's really the way it should be seen.
A bonus disc includes a massive amount of special features including interviews with the entire cast, behind the scenes, B-roll footage and so much more.
